BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER

BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER

Check out Elvis singing Bridge over troubled water.

This song Originally written and recorded by the famous American duo of Simon and Garfunkel.

Written and composed on the Piano by Paul Simon, which was featured on there fifth album, “Bridge over troubled water.”

The song became such a hit that it was recognised as Simon & Garfunkel’s signature song.

At the 1971 Grammy Awards it received “Song of the Year”, along with the record of the year.

In June of 1970, Elvis recorded the song in Nashville and released it on his album”Thats the way it is”

Elvis decided to play the song in his live shows that summer in Vegas and it was a sensational hit.

Paul Simon was at one of the live shows and was quoted as saying “That’s it, we might as well all give up now” after seeing Elvis perform the song live.

When Elvis performs the songs, you can feel the emotion in his voice.

It is such an incredible song that has a Gospel Music feeling to it, that we just love.

It is because of this Gospel feeling that when Elvis sings it, it sounds so angelic.

When You’re weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes I will dry them all
I’m on your site, oh, When times get rough
And friends just can’t be found…

The Kings voice will never die, it sounds to angelic.

Watch and be hypnotised by the great performer.
